G’day! Welcome to my digital haven!
This website is like a little slice of my creative world online.
This is the new, November 2025, version of stunik.com
Having been online since the early 2000s. I recently decided to rebuild this website in the spirit of the small web.
There are several snapshots of it on the wayback machine, here, in 2002, here in 2012, and 2022.
Navigation has been moved around and recategorised mainly.
Photographic Galleries
I have been passionate to the point of obsession about photographic art since the late 1980's. In that time I have watched rapid changes to many of the technologies affecting how photographs are produced and consumed. I decided not long after graduating to go into teaching. I did this for 30+ years.
I have explored and experimented using these technologies, in this highly wired world we now find ourselves in, since the late 1990s. My flickr photo-stream and Tumblr are the places I host many of my photographic art, ideas & experiments these days.
I exhibit some work here, but use platforms like flickr and Tumblr predominantly.
Flickr is a kind of digital sketchbook, a place to work with ideas. On occasion I exhibit physical prints around Melbourne too.
I set up a self-hosted WordPress blog in 2020 where I share my thoughts on photography and related topics in the 21st century. It’s like a personal diary, but with a public face, where I can remember and reflect on anything that sticks in my craw.
Other features include an FAQ page, a glossary of photography, amongst other things.
I was a Photo-educator for 30 plus years, winding up in late 2025. I was very fortunate to have taught photography as a speciality in the state high school system, first at PIC Photographic Imaging College, then NCAT Photography.
Now as I settle into a new routine I hope to expand all areas of my creative practice. This includes silver gelatin printing as a service and my own silver gelatin prints, hand made in my own darkroom available on Ko-Fi.
