A new addition to the beefmaster page an archive of 'old photos' from the deep dark past as they are uncovered!
Well here we are, it's probably around 1987-1988. This photo was taken at the infamous 'Hutch' household, scene of the 'Gumby Party' with the insidious 'soapbox' in the backyard. The bbq itself is typical of that era a 44 gallon drum cut in half, set on a pair of steel legs, hand made by one the residents themselves, in this case Joff. Now I have no way of actually saying much about this particular image other than the only reason I don't have a beer in my hand is because I have two bbq utensils instead, and appear to be working on what seems to be an almost empty hotplate. This makes me think it was a small affair, perhaps spontaneous in it's nature. This was a common occurrence at 'The Hutch', spontaneity that is! I do recall however that the ritual involving the preparation of this plate required oil, salt and newspaper. Mmmmmm!
Strange but true factoid - Until about 1999 I still had in my possession the original legs and the second drum.
